DMERC Region C Medical Review Process
| Learn about the Region C DMERC Medical Review Process and how it focuses on problem claims that demonstrate significant risk to the Medicare program as a result of inappropriate or potentially inappropriate payments. The innovative, systematic and on-going analysis of these claim practices and other relevant data to focus intervention efforts in the most significant areas of overutilization is known as the Medical Review Process. It is a method of targeting and directing Medicare Review efforts on claims for services where there exists the greatest risk of inappropriate program payments.
