Palmetto GBA Selected to Provide IT Products, Services to Federal Government

Columbia, S.C. – Palmetto GBA, a leading provider of technical and administrative services for the federal government, has been selected by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) as an approved vendor for providing information technology equipment, software and services to federal agencies.

Under a five-year Information Technology (IT) Schedule 70 contract awarded by the GSA, Palmetto GBA is listed among preferred vendors to supply a range of products and services, including information and technology resources, and facilities management, database planning and design, systems analysis and design, network services, programming, conversion and implementation support, data/records management, subscriptions/publications (electronic media), e-mail services, Internet access services, and other data transmission services.

GSA Schedule contracts allow federal agencies to work directly with vendors approved by the GSA to obtain the latest technology and quality products and services at most-favored customer prices with shorter lead times.

State and local governments are eligible to purchase products and services through the GSA contracts as well.

“We are excited about providing innovative IT products, services and support to the federal government,” Palmetto GBA President Bruce Hughes said. “Our IT expertise and emphasis on customer service have made Palmetto GBA one of the most successful contractors in the nation with the federal Medicare program, and we look forward to that same type of success with additional government programs.”

In 2008, Palmetto GBA was awarded a five-year GSA Schedule contract to provide training course development services to federal agencies.
