Guidelines and Instructions
- Submit this modifier to indicate the origin or destination of an ambulance transport when the location is a physician's office
- Note: A physician's office is not a covered destination. However, under special circumstances, an ambulance transport may temporarily stop at a physician's office without affecting the coverage status of the transport. In this situation, submit HCPCS modifier X as the destination.
