Part B-ID Immunosuppressive Drug Eligibility to Display in eServices

Published 12/27/2022

Effective January 1, 2023, patients who meet certain criteria will be able to qualify for continuous Medicare-covered immunosuppressive drugs. This new benefit is called Medicare Part B Immunosuppressive Drug (Part B-ID). The benefit will help continue to pay for immunosuppressive drugs.

Note:  It only covers immunosuppressive drugs and no other items or services.

This benefit is for patients who will lose End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Medicare coverage 36 months after a kidney transplant and who attest that they aren’t currently enrolled in other health coverage and don’t expect to enroll in other health coverage that would make them not eligible for Part B-ID.

eServices will display Part B Immunosuppressive Drug Eligibility information under the Eligibility tab/subtab.
