COVID-19 Updates

  • Temporary Claims Hold Pending Congressional Action to Extend 2% Sequester Reduction Suspension
    • In anticipation of possible Congressional action to extend the 2% sequester reduction suspension, we instructed the Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) to hold all claims with dates of service on or after April 1, 2021, for a short period without affecting providers’ cash flow. This will minimize the volume of claims the MACs must reprocess if Congress extends the suspension; the MACs will automatically reprocess any claims paid with the reduction applied if necessary.

  • We've Made it Easy to Identify Your eServices Administrator
    • Your eServices administrator can add and remove users, as well as grant access to a variety of eServices features for all active users. We are pleased to announce that the Palmetto GBA eServices portal will now display the names of up to three administrators, which are viewable by all active users. Providers will no longer have to call our Provider Contact Center (PCC) to retrieve this information.
  • Overpayment Balance Information in eServices
    • We are pleased to announce that providers are able to view overpayment balance information via our eServices online portal. Currently, providers do not have the ability to view their active overpayment balances and must contact the PCC to obtain this information. At Palmetto GBA, we are committed to enhancing the provider experience. This is another step in enhancing our one stop shop for providers to view their financial data.
  • Discontinuation of Comparative Billing Reports (CBRs) for Home Health Requests for Anticipated Payment (RAP) Cancellations
    • With the Requests for Anticipated Payment (RAP) changes in MLN Matters Number: MM11855, Palmetto GBA is discontinuing the Comparative Billing Report (CBR) in eServices that focused on the percentage of RAPs cancelled for home health agencies
