Palmetto GBA is now using the Cvent platform for our webinars. Cvent is a third-party platform that showcases advances in webinar technology and offers intuitive registration and audience engagement.

"Webinars 101" opens the door to uising and understanding Palmetto GBA webinars presented on the Cvent platform. These step-by-step instructions walk you through the process of registration and then accessing the webinar in the Attendee Hub. Please select one of the links below to view this on-demand webinar.

Technical Assistance

If you experience issues viewing or hearing this webinar, the we suggest taking the following actions. 

Refresh the Page

Sometimes it's as simple as refreshing the page and trying again.

  1. Make sure you are on the relevant session page within the Attendee Website
  2. Select the Refresh icon on your browser or, on a Windows device, press Ctrl + F5 on your keyboard. On a Mac device, press MAC Command Symbol CommandUp Arrow Shift + R on your keyboard
  3. Select Join Session

Log Out and Log Back In

Starting with a fresh login to the Attendee Website may help correct the issue.

  1. Copy the URL for your session and set it aside for now
  2. In the top right of the Attendee Website, select the circle with your initials or profile picture, then Log Out
  3. Close out all browser windows
  4. Open a new browser window, paste the link to the virtual session page from Step 1 into the address bar, and click Enter
  5. Follow the prompts to log in to the Attendee Website
  6. The session page opens by default. Select Join Session

Reduce the Video Quality

You may need to adjust the quality if your video is buffering or freezing.

  1. Move your mouse cursor onto the video player screen. This will open the video toolbar.
  2. Hover over the gear icon in the bottom right and click Auto from the menu

Check the Bandwidth

Your internet speed should be at least 10 Mbps to view the session.

  1. Test your internet speed. There are plenty of other sites you can use to test your connection.
  2. If your internet speed is not at least 10 Mbps, plug your computer directly into the router using an Ethernet cable
  3. If that's not possible, move as close as you can to the router
  4. Repeat the steps you took prior to receiving the video error

Try a Different Browser

An outdated or unsupported browser could be the culprit.

  1. Open a different browser on your computer
  2. Log in to the Attendee Website in the new browser window
  3. Repeat the steps you took prior to receiving the video error

Disconnect from VPN

Your access to some websites may be limited if you are connected to your organization’s VPN.

  1. Disconnect from your organization's VPN. If your organization doesn't allow you to disconnect from VPN, proceed to the next solution.
  2. Open a new browser window
  3. Log in to the Attendee Website in the new browser window
  4. Repeat the steps you took prior to receiving the video error

Contact Your I.T. Deparment 

If you are unable to disconnect from your organization's VPN and your access to the Attendee Website is restricted, you will need to work with your IT department to get full access.

  1. Send the Cvent Video Player domains to the attendee
  2. Send the list to your IT department and ask them to allow the domains
