Palmetto GBA Interactive Voice Response System Has Been Updated

In an effort to increase our customers' experience and efficiency, Palmetto GBA has reduced the number of options in our Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. These minor changes to our IVR will impact providers from Jurisdictions J and M.

Our IVR is a gateway to a comprehensive database of information and a convenient way for Medicare providers to source information from Palmetto GBA using the telephone. Providers who use the IVR will now find four options on the main menu, which can be immediately accessed by pressing “1” or waiting through the brief introductory message.

When you call Palmetto GBA you will encounter the following four options.

  1. Palmetto GBA Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
  2. Provider Enrollment
  3. Items like claims, financials, eligibility, appeals or other information
  4. Providers who have not been assigned a Provider Transaction Access Number, or PTAN

An additional change we implemented is that Option “0” has also been removed from the main menu.

Remember, to avoid delays when calling Palmetto GBA, please have your NPI, PTAN and the last four digits of your Tax ID number ready. Many questions can be answered using our automated IVR system. Or so save time, register for eServices.
