New Chat Functions Coming February 1, 2023

On February 1, 2023, Palmetto GBA will introduce improvements to the chat function on our website. 

When requesting a chat on the Palmetto GBA website, a new chat window will appear over the open web page without taking you away from our website. This streamlines the process without the inconvenience of having the web page you’re on closing entirely. 

Another new feature is the ability to save a transcript of your chat with Palmetto GBA by clicking a button at the top of the chat window. This task can be performed at any time during or after the chat.

Additionally, the available chat topics in the pull-down menu have been expanded to include sub-topics to better define for us the reason users are wanting to chat. These updates have been made to give providers a streamlined and improved experience when communicating with Palmetto GBA.

Using the Chat function on our website provides users with the same set of services as calling the PCC, but within the convenience of the Palmetto GBA website.

Many provider questions can be answered by chatting directly with a Palmetto GBA representative using the Chat feature. 

To initiate a chat conversation while on our website, have your PTAN and NPI numbers available and click on the Chat Now! button.

Answer the pre-chat questions then press the Chat Now button at the bottom of the window.

You can save your chat transcript at any time during or after your chat by clicking “Save Transcript” on the top-right side of the chat window.
